Upon finishing her DPhil in 2015, she moved to the University of St Andrews to begin a two-year postdoctoral position in organocatalysis with Professor Andy Smith. She subsequently relocated to M\u00fclheim an der Ruhr in Germany to work as a post-doc for Dr Matthew Tredwell at the Max-Planck-Institut f\u00fcr Kohlenforschung in the field of radiochemistry. Since November 2018 Aileen has worked as a synthetic chemist as part of the AC-BI team developing novel PROTACs.
