During his studies he was working as an undergraduate research assistant in the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry at Saarland University. These first insights in Drug Discovery and Development motivated him to write a diploma thesis. He is currently working on a joint research project between the Helmholtz Institute for Pharmaceutical Research Saarland (HIPS) and the University of Cambridge which is about the Structure-based Design of pVHL Small Molecule Probes.
