Forthill XI managed a comfortable 5 wicket win over DUSCC having restricted DUSCC to 114 batting first. After a solid start, a couple of silly run outs (one initiated by the author) contributed to a decline from 33-0 to 43-3. Rebuilding of the innings came at the cost of acceleration of the score, until Amar’s excellent 38 and Scott Rodgers’s spectacular hitting pulled us up to a respectable, if reachable, 114. Forthill chased down their target with relative ease until they lost three wickets for the cost of one run. However the target was well within reach at this point and they overcame their wobble to win with 9 balls to spare.
